Right, I'm on eircom dsl package currently getting 5 mg my download speeds are fine. But being a gamer and pinging at 44-60 to uk servers which is good i guess but for some reason to pretty much every server in the rest of europe its 150 ping and its only been like this for the last 3 months i live in galway theres a guy in navan that has the same problem aswel is it only just dsl lines?

it may not be anything to do with eircom

have you tried doing a tracert? it will show you where the big jump in ping time is happening. it could be somewhere in europe causing it.

if you get <50ms to uk then it looks like the problem is not in ireland but overseas

Galway area here also. It is not your issue, having the same problem.
Over the past two months, like you, I have noticed the pings to Europe are gone very bad, by which I mean france and germany. Sometimes I get the usual 50ms ping to half the UK servers, with the other half being 100ms.

I don't understand how you are getting good pings to the UK, do you notice a lot of UK servers that are 100ms?
Tonight is it is the worst I have seen it, in bf4 (pc) for instance I have like two servers just under 100ms, everything else above it. On speedtest.net I ping every server in Ireland around 30ms, anything outside of ireland is rubbish.
If it is like this again tomorrow I am going to have it out with support.

My bandwidth is really low too, around 2.75mb, should be 4mb (I get 8mb when the world is asleep). But it is the pings that are pissing me off.

Not only has this been going on for weeks, but judging by today it is actually deteriorating!

Yeah tonight was terrible its fine before 5pm for the last few weeks but its constant 140 its terrible i rang magnet today and asked them would it be better with there 24 mg package they said i would have a better upload speed but they dont know about ping its getting on my nerves.
It used to be amazing but now its gone to **** :[ i feel your pain

multiplay servers tended to be ok but now there gone to 150 ping it sucks

UK server pings were normal tonight for me, ~40-50. But pings to all german servers were 100-185. Like servers in poland and some in russia and usa had better ping than german. There is definitely something weird going on. Yesterday was absolute bs though, 100+ping to UK and the rest of the world, along with shocking bandwidth.

I guess we just have to record these instances and get onto support, and if it doesn't improve 'i am leaving because example A,B,C, take your contract and shove it'.
At least I am not the only one experiencing and noticing this crappy service.

yeah ruffty i know the feeling tuesday was awful bad but wednesday and thursday were playable i play csgo but its impossible to get the right registration on servers with 90+ ping i dunno what they did in the last few months but ever since sky came in with the uncapped download speed it was **** :[ its a shame as i cant get fibre in my area "yet"

as in right now its perfect no complaints but at 8pm cant play games at all only in some circumstances

this is still going on, I mean what the heck! I'm on a NGB 24MB connection with fastpath(low latency) enabled

Getting 200 ping to Germany and no stable ping even to the UK

I ****ing hate Eircom
