First Day back on the job search...

    Before Christmas was great. Number of interviews, working away as well. Very busy Now it is in the new year it is all quiet again. First day back on the job search and I am struggling! Any others going thru the same as myself?

    You have a lot of competition in January.

    The only certainty is this: if you stop searching, you won't find a job. So keep searching.

    Yep. Stupid thread to be honest!! Sorry just going through a bad period looking at the moment. Can't delete thread so if someone can lock it then that would be great.

    I hear you! I'm in the same boat myself. Only the interviews seem to have dried up! Waiting to go on a Six Sigma course at the end of the month, see if that perks things up...

    Would say keep the thread open. I'm in the same boat, looking for a new job since September. It's tough going, but I seem to be hearing more from recruiters and companies.

    Same here. Keep on trucking. I had already that it was bound to be quiet after Christmas on the job front. But it has brought me down after plucking up the courage to go into shops with CVs only to get mediocre responses (stressing the quiet period in Retail, etc). All we can do is try :)
