    hi

I'am looking to rent/buy a smoke machine to help in determining where in my car the water leak and air leaks are coming in .

I saw a similar device been used on an old episode of wheeler dealers to determine the source of an air-leak into the cabin and it proved very effective.

so has anyone used such a device and if so any recommendations on the best type to use I would appreciate it.

Short of building a diy smoke bomb (which I don't recommend in this instance), the only thing I can think of that might be comparable is if you talk to a valetor that uses one of Autosmart's Aromatek fogging machines. It might just do the trick for you AND your interior will be odour free!

    Edit: There's also this crowd:

No sure if it would work, but any mobile DJ should have one. Just a word of warning, the smell from the smoke can be horrendous and leave a sticky residue on surfaces.

Just thought there - DJ hire equipment is the answer.

Crowd in Ballymount hire smoke machines for €30:

    Hth.

Damn - Ironclaw beat me to it!

    Brilliant. I haven't seen this before. :D

BTW, you can buy basic machines for under €50 on ebay.
