Made it in to town at lunchtime to drop off a Samsung handset for official warranty repair but, lo and behold, there was Fonemenders in the GPO ... GONE !

I know they've a branch in Clondalkin but that's damned inconvenient.

Looks like there's no official place now in the city centre to get a warranty repair done ?

I think fonefix are In sandyford? Supposedly very reliable and not too expensive though.

I remember getting some work done by fone menders about a year ago and they were a disaster. By all accounts that I read after that, fonfix are much better.

Fonfix are a lot better than the clown brigade in fonmenders.

That said, you either have to post it to them(costs) or drop in and pay a fee for hand delivery. So warranty work isnt really free.

EDIT: What company had themselves censored...
EDIT2: Ahh, its the folks at
    Gsm%20Solutions%20Ltd.gif

I know who Ill be avoiding...

Hand on heart, I'd rather pay for something to be fixed than let fonemenders do it on warranty.

I left in a water damaged laptop before and they said it was damaged beyond repair. It then took them TWO WEEKS to get the laptop back from Limerick to the GPO.

I took it to a specialist repair place in D7 and they replaced the touch pad and keyboard and it's working perfectly.
