Keep an eye on Bargain Alerts forum. Several threads with offers, especially on the older model and refurbs.

Good price for 32gb version. The 16gb was 250 only a week ago. Is it defo the 2013 model? If it's the 2012 version, then it's not such a good deal.

€259 is good for the 32gb. I got the 2013 one for Xmas, my housemate the 2012. I'd spend the extra and get the newer one tbh.

    Absolutely excellent tablets...

I'd hazard a guess that it's the older model. The link to specs doesn't work on that page, but I'm fairly certain that on the older ones the front camera was central. On mine (2013 model) the front camera is top left. So going by the image on meteor alone, I'd say it's 2012 version.

If you have that kind of money to spend, you'd be better off with a 2013 16bg version for about €240. Obvious difference is the onboard storage, so it depends what you need. If 16gb will do you, definitely get the newer one.

If you have wifi at home/work, then 3G I'd only going to be useful when you're out and about. It'll add a monthly cost to have a sim card in it.

If you don't have wifi access, 3G is your only option.

The 2012 model did have a 3G version.
The 2013 model does not have a 3G version.

The 2012 3G version used a micro SIM card, so if you were traveling abroad and wanted to use a foreign SIM card you would need to ensure you got a micro SIM in the foreign country.

An option which i find suits me is to use an external 3G modem instead. That way my Nexus, Phone, laptop and the other family members devices can connect using the 3G connection via wifi.

That way there is no need for 3G on the Nexus.

I use a 3 modem, that way my broadband topup can be used both in Ireland and the UK.
Anywhere else i can get a local SIM card.

Also, the Asus Memo Pad HD 7 is similar to the Nexus 7.
