What is the parking situation like for Night/weekend courses in the WIT?

Classes will be starting at 7pm on a couple of weekday nights and 9am on a Saturday morning.

I know that the normal college hours it is very hard to get a space but how about for these part time course hours?

You shouldn't have any trouble at all. Loads of spaces available during the times you mentioned.

I go straight to the ones out the back, less hassle and youll always get a space there as the one infront of the dome can be full.

dangerous spot to park a car at those times. Saturday i would park up in lismore shopping center to be safe.

Put absolutely nothing on display in the car and assume at least a few people are gonna walk through looking for cars.

That carpark is literally in the middle of Larchville and Ardmore park. Far safer to park up at the shops and spend the 2 minutes walking down. Either the Shopping center or at the front of spar/off licence etc.

Id say 3 cars a week got broken into this year in the college carpark. Yet people still leave laptops and valuables in their cars.

All well and good, but i would rather take the chance of my car getting broken into than getting mugged in the dark walking down the road. If they are willing to mug someone in the middle of the day with a hammer i dont want to think what they will do in the dark to someone with a bag that MAY have a laptop in it.
Thats my thinking on it anyway.

I can tell you from living here as a student 10 years that you that wont be mugged or anything like it on that 2 min walk from college to the shopping centre.

Also the hammer incident was in the middle of town so no need to give the wrong impression.

Anytime of the day or night that walk has lots of traffic and people walking so its honestly one of the safest roads.

I could understand your thinking and if i didnt live there before i would think the same way but id definitely park by the shops unless there was a parking spot very close to the college. Absolutely no way in hell park over at the perimeter wall.
