Using P45 & PPS Number to track Job history?

    Hi,
    Is there any way, that an accountant in a company could trackback all the previous jobs a person worked in inc the duration of work by using his P45 or PPS number?

    Just one previous company is ok (The copmany that issued P45) , but names and duration all the previous jobs would contradict with my CV. :rolleyes:

    Any help greatly appreciated...

    No they cannot find out what companies you worked for previously. However, a P45 will tell if you weren't always in employment with a particular company for a year. But, it's the start of a new year so shouldn't be a problem.

    Simple answer is no. Your P45 will give details of earnings and period of employment in the job it relates to. If you want to avoid accountant getting any info from the P45 contact Revenue yourself and they can issue a tax credit certificate to your new employer once you have their employers registration number
