I have a new smart phone with new micro sim. I am thinking of moving another sim/number and using a different provider. But I will have to have old sims cut down to fit. Can the microsim be put back in old style phone? Or can a new larger sim be issued with the old number on it? I think for travel I might just take an old phone for example.

I use an adapter, can be a bit fidgety but does the job.
