I know something similar was posted, but that was three years ago and I'm looking to get some opinions on a piece I want to write on sex in ireland.

The Durex survey says Ireland isn't any more sexually repressed than any other country. But I don't see that that's the case at all.. I think we have a serious issue with Catholic guilt around sex.

Am I right, or living in a Catholic-school educated bubble?

What do y'all think? Irish people take sex so so seriously I think!

I don't think we're any different from any other country in this regard, to be honest. Maybe we don't talk about it quite as much overall, but it still happens. Younger generation have no problems with catholic guilt, it's the older crowd that would be more conservative, but that's to be expected anyway.
