    Hi ,
just want to get a new compute after having a dell for the past 7 years. I am looking at an imac i5. It looks pretty good for me though sales guy in the shop reckons I should go for a newer version i7 (faster speed). It's just for general use, internet, photos etc
My Dell is now dumping memory, can't seem to fix it, but can use it in safe mode. It was gone really slow anyhow, has had a lot of use over 7 years
Anyone out there have the imac, how do you find it?
    Thanks

Don't mind the sales pitch, the i5 is plenty for your needs. It will be a big change from using Windows for 7 years so there will be a learning curve.

Where was this? PC world? Yeah, even an i5 is way more than your needs.

Yes PC World, although the guy there explained everything very well and simply to me. Thanks for your replies and help. Think I will go ahead with it

Thanks for that. Picked it up this morning and am delighted so far with it.

I bought an i5 couple of months ago, no prev. experience from the Mac world (still have couple of laptops with Windows though, work and private).
So far im happy for it :) Still remember the first time when i booted it, and thought what the heck im going to do next :D Still learning new stuff daily ab. the OS. :)

But im not regretting it, using my i5 with web surfing, streaming to telly, mediaserver etc etc without any problems.
