Life can be tough for the single gentleman where solitude is never too far away. Always have long, medium and short terms goals even if they seem unattainable. It makes the "horror of our daily lives" more tolerable.

Arranging to see friends is always one I use. If I were you, I'd suggest a trip as wholesome escapism. It's the obvious one but it'll definitely help keep your pecker up, so to speak.
