    Hi guys,

I'm curious as to opinion on the below set up, particularly regarding how future proof it is. I want it to be able to pretty much run everything at high - max settings for the next 2 - 3 years and and still remain capable for a good few years after that without having to make any major changes. In particular I'm looking at the likes of Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen.

It is a customised pre-made build (self build is not an option). Yes I know pre-built causes residents here to recoil in disgust, but this is what I have to go with. :D , will not be self building.
    • CORSAIR GRAPHITE SERIES™ 600T WHITE MID-TOWER CASE
    • Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4820K (3.7GHz) 10MB Cache
    • ASUS® SABERTOOTH X79: SOCKET 2011, R.O.G
    • 16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 8GB KIT)
    • 3GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 780 Ti
    • 240GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s
    • 2TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1003FZEX, SATA 6 Gb/s
    • 24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
    • CORSAIR 850W ENTHUSIAST SERIES™ MODULAR TXM-850 V2-80 PLUS
    • Corsair H80i Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
    • Onboard Audio
    • Windows 8.1
    • ASUS MX279H 27" Full HD AH-IPS LED DISPLAY

Are there any major problems or bottlenecks? Also, how noisy is this system likely to be?

    Thanks!

Would allow for some decent fans, from what I've read the stock fans leave a lot to be desired on the 600T. I have the H80 and the stock fans it came with were noisy crappy things.

Re. the monitor, it's 1080p & 27", if you sit any nearer than 400mm, you might find the pixel density a bit low (I have three 27" in surround, and find about 550mm from the screens is perfect).

Maybe consider a 27" 1440p catlleap or similar, or if your budget stretched and its primarily for gaming, give a look at the Eizo foris FG2421; 23.5" VA panel that can do 120hz.

What's the reason self-build isn't an option? Perhaps there's a way around it.

I'd swap the SSD for a 250GB Evo, just because I trust Samsung a bit more in terms of reliability.
I'd also swap the 780 Ti for a 780, and maybe add a second one down the line. It's not a great buy value-wise.
Same with the Black drive. If you really need fast storage, grab one of Seagate's SSHDs instead.
Look at something like a H220 from Swiftech, or a H110i from Corsair. Those dual-fan, single-rad things don't tend to be the quietest.

Buying top end doesn't future proof anything. Spend half the money now and half the money in 3 years time.
