Hi, Just wondering what colour of sill people would use internally? I have Black window frames inside and out and the wall colour will be white, it's a contemporary style we are looking for throughout the house. Some people have said a white sill and others black, I've scrolled through the net trying to see pictures but not getting much joy. Be keen to find out what others have done and how it looks! Thanks

White window boards are best for bringing more daylight into the room. Black will make your room a lot darker. Whites the best option in my opinion.

If your home is contemporary & new you may have more than enough light.

Search for black window frames on Houzz.com - loads of images which will help inform your decision.

will your sills be the same as your skirting or architraves? were thinking of going for black frames and having either white or oak sills, skirting and architraves. doors will be oak. my friend has white sills, skirting and architraves with her black windows and oak doors. looks very well

With black windows I would suggest white window board and reveals (plaster frame around window) in semi gloss (eggshell) finish, if the room has good natural light.

Use white gloss paint on reveals and board if the room has poor or just average natural light, as the full gloss will help to reflect the light into the room.

sorry projectK have no pictures. we ended up going with aluclad windows with painted off-white finish on interior. windows were just installed last week so no sills in yet til we plaster but they will probably match the frames
