Gaming PC €500

A friend wants to build a gaming pc and since it's been over a year since I've had to build mine I've mostly forgotten everything to do with building. I'm trying to help him out to help get a decent build. He can really only afford to go to €500 so if we could keep it as close to that as possible that would be really great.


1. What is your budget? [€500]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming]

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [NO]

5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [Not sure, whatever will be cheapest, if it'll run BF4 at 1080p I won't complain, but if a 720 monitor would be cheaper and allow to skimp a bit on the graphics card that would be fine.]


6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [No]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [No]

8. How can you pay? [Credit Card]

9. When are you purchasing? [Soonish,by the end of the month]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [No, don't need any help.]

Slightly over by €30-40 budget but this would work, the FX6300 would be a better option for multiplayer BF4 than anything much cheaper and the HD 7850 will do fine @1080p at pretty high settings with no AA, and possibly a handful of other settings slightly turned down depending on the game.

Actually gonna use this build for a work friends son,such a nice gaming build on a budget. Might change the case but thats just personal tastes really.

I did notice there is no motherboard in the build though,so would need to add an extra €60 or so. That should get a decent board?

Woops, the one I meant to put in the above was a cheap mATX board, which would be fine for an FX6300 but I probably wouln't stick and FX-83XX in there.

A €55-60+ 970 board like the PRO3 would be preferred though.

Sound marco, was thinking the pro 3/4, ill go with the 3 I reckon. Not gonna be any major overclocking going on anyway.

Have the prices been run through geihzals.de yet also? Coud help bring the cost down a bit again
