belongs in geology subforum which doesn't seem to exist yet but I see other geology threads are here in geography

so I got talking to some old fella couple weeks ago and he says to me there is some rare rock out there at low tide , that he'd heard there were only a few known in the world. He didn't know what it was and had never seen it but had it from a good source. So yesterday with the very low tide I took a scamper out and found it.Turns out his source really was good as this particular granite is very rare and only known in less than a dozen places worldwide and all small outcrops, mostly Finland and Sweden.I had a geology student confirm what it was as I hadn't a clue.
