I use leggings most days shooting.
Bought some of these and use them a lot riding the ATV and they keep me dry.

I've had the same experience....have the Deerhunter Ram jacket & trousers since 2003.....10 years hard hunting in all weathers, including heavy snow and very heavy downpours....never let in a drop.

Some of the land I hunt is really marshy.....splashes puddles back up on the inside leg of the trousers with every step during winter.......look wet and muddy on outer layer but bone dry on al layers inside...when dry the mud just falls off......also the most comfortable trousers I've ever worn!!
