UPC not playing nicely with Hamachi/Maptools

I've just moved to a new place and inherited a new UPC connection which has performed awesomely. Today though, I encountered my first problem. I play DnD with friends over Skype and I used to use Hamachi with Maptools to play it and it worked fine with my old Eircom connection, my old Nova Networks connection but what I'm finding is that the UPC box won't let Hamachi work. Which is strange as I am able to log into the DnD Hamachi group and this would previously allow me to connect to the Maptools server flawlessly. Now I can't connect at all and I keep getting the following error message:

    Could not load campaign
com.caucho.hessian.io.hessianprotocoleception: unknown code for readObject at end of file

I tried logging into the UPC router with the usual 192.168.1.1 but I couldn't get into it. According to the UPC site, that should be the code to access it. It's the standard Thompson box.

    Has anyone encountered this before?

    [Edit]

I've managed to gain access to the router's settings but trying to configure the router resulted in me losing my connection till I factory reset the router. The port used for the game is 51234 and I'm unsure of exactly what I need to do to allow me to connect to it.

how did you try to open the port?

    try this

access the router by going to 192.168.0.1

leave username blank and put "admin" as password

enable upnp (this should auto open the port)

to enable upnp click on the advanced tab
and then tick the enable upnp box and hit apply.
