Have ACCA announced whether they are going to have four exam sessions per year instead of two yet? Thought it was supposed to start in 2014

4 sittings would be a big selling point for prospective accounting students when choosing which to go for

Brilliant news. when do they plan to run these extra exams. Does it mean we can sit 16 subjects in 1 year (4 exams per sitting) only asking ........... A smart guy could be finished his/her accountancy exams in 1 year

Jesus. Any sane person would hardly have time to take a dump, unless they were the Sheldon Cooper of accountancy. For your sanity kids, don't do that!

They are out there .................... There was a lady in my class and she sat 4 exams each sitting and passed them all first time:)
I accept she was the exception to the rule and I'm not encouraging people to do this

Interestingly, she is still envisaging the ACCA running these sessions, and not contracting them out to third parties.
Minchington felt students will still look to sit exams every six months and use the new sittings as resits, to keep them on-track. What is important to her is ensuring all ACCA students get the 4-sitting option.

Big difference having 6 months to study 4 papers and 3 months to study for 4 papers.

I think a lot more people will see it being beneficial for repeating an exam quicker than the current set up than those looking to complete the exams in an extraordinarily short time. Would give more flexibility to those who December or June mightn't suit as well as those who might prefer concentrating on a single exam per sitting.
