I used to play it when I was little. My aunt even got me a handheld Sudoku console (the size of a mobile phone).

Nowadays, not so much. But I might try one or two now that you've reminded me of it.

I do a lot of crossword competitions, when it comes to sudoku I just cheat and use an online sudoku solver, hate sudoku.

Do it occasionally at lunch break. Started about 10 years ago. Then I get a fit every so often and do it for a few hours each day. Stopped doing the crosswords here as they can't spell.

I like doing sudoku when I'm good at it but when you get to the last box and you realize you made a mistake somewhere and you have to go back and change every number.....not fun

Yes, but only the 9x9 standard one. Hate those variations that add in letters.

Can never understand though why they give you the solutions. You either work it out or you don't.

Agreed. The 9x9 are ok, the letter-and-numbers ones are just silly.
And you make a good point about the solutions. Either you get it right, and you don't need the solution, or you're wrong, in which case you're not going to bother to see where you went wrong.
After all, it's not a matter of life-and-death!

I haven't done any sudoku puzzles in aaages. Used to play all the time, too much maybe. You know when you reach the very end with two boxes remaining and realise you've made a mistake somewhere - I used to go back and draw out the puzzle and start from scratch...I don't think I should go back to those days.

Turn it upside down, then the 6s become 9s. Then you're safe, and the 9s become ... hang on a minute, I need to think this through ...

Used to play a good bit but now days not much time for it cos it was quite easy and repetitive.. Killer sudoku on the other hand was hard
