Would employers let you work for free?

    Hi,

I am 23, currently in college doing a law degree and I have no prior work experience at all and was wondering would it be a good idea to work for free as there is no hope in me getting paid work any time in the future. Would employers take you on for free so you can impress them? What are your thoughts?

    Kind regards

Most of the work you be looking for mate when your starting off in this field will be free so my advice would be to send off c.vs . Fairly sure you will get something

You're talking about an internship. Especially considering that you're doing law, there's no such thing as a "free" employee from the employer's point of view because they have legal obligations towards you.

But yes, many firms will do internships and summer work placements for students. You should be able to arrange this through your faculty.
