Tell Her vs Forget About Her??

Hi, I need some advice on this one:

I met this girl a couple of years back, we really hit it off, she's incredible, intelligent, funny, beautiful and has the most amazing personality. Shortly after we met she started seeing this guy who was a lot older than her she was 23 he was 44, they were together for a few months when he went to Australia, their relationship continued, and a year later she moved to Australia and has been there since.

We had a lot of mutual friends in college, who often slagged us that we'd make a great couple as we were always hanging out together. On a couple of nights out we got pretty close dancing, flirting etc, I really wanted to make a move, thinking back I think she wanted it too. but out of respect for her and her having a boyfriend I DIDN'T (still regretting it ever day, fml)
I always thought their relationship would fizzle out and come to an end, due to her liking the partying lifestyle and him being '43 and boring' so I'm told be her friends and family.

Since that, I've emigrated, have good friends, amazing job, career and lifestyle that most people would be envious of, I have tried to move on with other girls, but quite honestly I really don't have any real interest in them, I just end up chatting/dancing with them in clubs/bars, and then going home alone thinking about the girl in question. I think about her a lot, and have wondered what to do about this for ages, I suppose this is my New Years resolution.

    All advice and opinions welcome

    Questions:

Should I tell her how I feel about her, even if it puts our friendship at risk?

Should I wait and hope her relationship fizzles out?

Why does being a nice guy and trying to do the right thing by someone get you nowhere?

    Thanks in Advance

Where do you live? Where does she live?

What contact have you had with her recently?

I'd guess she is into the qualities that he has at his age. I'd also say you might be stuck in the friend zone. If you are both not also in Oz then forget about her.

The facts. She moved halfway across the world for him. They've been together three years. Your friendship is long distance. You've created an idealistic relationship that isn't there.

What ifs don't matter, she's with someone else move on.
