Our Dept of Social Welfare should get on to these guys straight away. Anybody suitable and long term unemployed should be nominated straight away for the position.

Really, you think it's worthwhile spending time promoting a position that wouldn't improve the prospects of whoever took the position, sounds like a massive waste to me, no wonder so many judge these schemes when you have the likes of that going on.

    Why?

This kind of rubbish is getting in the way of real job creation.

A cafe owner who is too greedy to take a cut in is own earnings is looking for slave labour, while competing cafes who may be thinking of hiring and actually paying staff now cannot because the guy across the road can afford to sell a cuppa 50c cheaper because he is not paying his staff.

The job-bridge scheme has its place where real skills can be obtained with real employment prospects at the end, this on the other and is pure abuse of the system to the detriment of competing businesses and the poor individual who gets saddled with the position.

Why? Because the long term unemployables will have this fcuker out of business in no time. That's why most long term unemployed have been on the dole for such a long time, they are unempoyable. The thoughts of doing a days work would give most of them a coronary. The business would fail and the owner would maybe learn a lesson.

2 birds with one stone. A bunch of lazy b4stards are sent to work for an unscrupulous employer. They'll be miserable and so will the employer. Basically they deserve each other.

Probably because they don't have Junior Cert English. If they did they'd have written "must have a driver's licence"
