Looked up galway county council for opening times in doughuisce.

    Site says normal working hours.

For galway county council what are normal working hours?

Leaving tree at 13.00 would suit, but are they closed for lunch?

    9am to 3pm according to this: http://www.galwaycity.ie/GeneralNews/020114_01.pdf

    Not closed for lunch, apparently.

Unfortunately Galway city council will not man their 2 tree recycling facilities on Sunday 5th January which according to today's Irish times will be part of the busiest time for Christmas recycling. It's notable that Cork, Dublin and Limerick will all manage a Sunday facility. Disappointing service from Galway council:(

Last time I looked, "doughuisce" (sic) was in the Galway City area.

Galway City's tree recycling info is here: http://www.galwaycity.ie/GeneralNews/020114_01.pdf

    And it says

Galway City Council wish to advise members of the public that a “Christmas Tree Recycling Service” will be provided at
Hunters Depot, opposite Barna Wood and Merlin Woods Depot Doughiska only from:

Friday 3rd January and Saturday 4th January, 2014 between 09:00am and 15:00pm and from:
    Monday 6th January to Saturday 11th January, 2014 between 09:00am and 15:00pm
