We have a lease and bills together so I don't know what to do next. But it's not even that, that has me so confused it's the pure embarrassment of having to explain to my family and friends why I would have moved out. People are waiting for us to get engaged or start a family after all this time.

You don't need to explain to anybody why you'd be moving out-it's none of their business.
Just tell them that the relationship had run it's course.
You cannot continue to live a life with someone you don't trust, simply because of how others might react.

Your lease?Let him look after it.It's the least he can do.
    The bills?
Sort out your financial affairs as soon as possible.

Then walk away and start living the life you deserve. He will never change- you know this-so you will have to make positive changes for your future.
    Best of luck.

As bad as finding people on a website was, he had also started Facebooking people that I know of from around home. The sickening thing is I felt mortified in case any of them told my friends or family

If he has been sexting/facebooking people you know from home, there's a chance word has got out about the sort of person he is. There is a possibility that some of your friends or your family already know .
Now I don't know what to do. We have a lease and bills together so I don't know what to do next. But it's not even that, that has me so confused it's the pure embarrassment if having to explain to my family and friends why I would have moved out. People are waiting for us to get engaged or start a family after all this time. Not for us to split up. .

I'd just up and leave him to be honest. Let him pick up the mess. Nobody forced him to start sexting again so he's bringing it all on himself.

As for you, I don't see any reason why you should be embarrassed. You've done nothing wrong and don't start looking at possible inadequacies in your sex life as a reason. The only wrong thing you can do now is stay with him because you're afraid of looking like a fool. My guess is that most people would say "what a sleazebag" and clap you on the back for having the guts to walk out on him.

    Hi,

I didn't get to see your original thread, or your reply to me as I haven't been on here for a week or so. I'm in a similar position. It's really not our fault, emotionally, sexually. And it is humiliating. But we didn't do anything, the shame is all that other man's. If you want to talk to me I'd be happy to listen.

As the OP edited their original post to remove it almost 2 weeks ago, it is clear that they no longer wish to engage with the thread.

For that reason the thread is locked. If you wish to return to it to reply to any post, Usermm88, please contact any of the PI mods who will happily re-open it for you. Also it is not advised to get into private message exchanges with other posters on PI looking for help. If you wish to "talk" to another poster, it is recommended to stick to the thread

    From the Forum Charter
It is not the done thing on the PI or RI forums to ask an OP to pm/msn/skype/email you. This is done for two reasons:

To protect those from trolls and other possible unsavory people posting on the internet when they may be in a vulnerable state. Threads on PI/RI are monitored by the mods so that bad and dangerous advice is not permitted and deemed unhelpful.

To protect posters from trolls and unsavory people posting on the internet who pose as a person needing help and advice and so that posters do not end up locked in to a pm exchange with someone they can not help.

    Thread Locked.
