    Sad news.

Cathy's Clown was my favourite song of theirs, but was just singing along with this yesterday driving home in the rain.

    Interview from last year:

    RIP.

saw them twice in the 80s

they were happy to meet and greet after the show.

awesome songwriters and singers who influenced EVERYONE who came after them.

Their harmonies went on to influence Lennon and McCartney.

    Another classic from them.

I saw them a few years ago supporting Simon and Garfunkel and they still sounded great. Great singers and so influential.
    RIP Phil.

    Only heard this news now.

They had that quality that the Louvin brothers before 'em & Simon & Garfunkel subsequently had - two great voices, that when combined, managed to float off somewhere almost otherworldly.

Arena filled out their backstory with a great documentary some years back.

My parents had that greatest hits LP of theirs that had a little cartoon for every song on the cover.

I listened to it so many times as a kid. Always loved the harmonies.
