Never knew this maybe its the first time I have been charged for it.

    GSD GOVT DUTY 01 CARD - 5.00

    Sound.

Anyone know if this is per month or is just a yearly thing?

Like I know there is a bit of payment for operating my account. With Ulster Bank it's 4 euro per month(I did lose the plot at the start calmed down after a few weeks after thinking about what I get). I don't mind it's a good service when it works. But this 5 euro tax seems a bit OTT considering the major whoopsie daisy the banks pulled and the state bailing them out. I'm only trying to do a bit of basic banking an I get whacked with a tax?

Like it's only a matter of time before there's coin machines in traffic lights for crossing the road.

It's Government stamp duty on your Visa Debit card. Seeing as all ATM cards are now Visa Debit it a blanket tax. There is €5 tax for credit cards too.

I think there was. Is it €5 for a debit card and €10 for a credit card?
