Hello everyone, i would like to rent a land around 15-25 acres for a sport activities. Im trying to look around at daft.ie and other sites, but they all for sale. Please can you tell me where do i need to look? Land can be unusable or in bad condition. River or forest would help to. Thank you. John.

Through locals or local auctioneers is the best way.

Agricultural land available for rent is rarely advertised. Its almost exclusively done through word of mouth or auctioneers.

Depending on the nature of the sporting activity, Coillte could be worth a call. They have some forests leased out to sporting clubs.
There aren't as many Coillte owned forests in Meath as in other areas but there are some.

Thanks for responds. I would like to ask what about the land, looking for 20 acres unusable land, like river valleys etc? Still the best way to go to local auctioneers? Any point to look at google maps and then drive over and ask a farmer or something?

Any harm to enquire as to what sporting activity you're interested in?

I've never tried it, I'm told its a bit of craic!
Would a chat with the lads over on the Airsoft Forum be worthwhile? It's under the SPORTS dropdown menu.
They may be able to help?

Used to Played Airsoft a good bit here. Used to be a site in a wood over the road and an indoor on in an unused dairy farm. Was brilliant craic. But as soon as beer took over I wasn't able of a Sunday morning to go
