Cryptolocker

    If anyone has any advice on this would be grateful. Newish laptop 2 months old. Not many files on it but today seems to be infected with cryptolocker. Will probably try to bring it somwhere tomorrow to be fixed, so annoyed. Dont understand whats the point of paying for McAfee when this crap then happens.

    Thanks no not sure how to do that. I think I may just leave it switched off bring it to a repair shop tomorrow in case I make things worse.

    Hi lillycool your mad if you do that they will charge you a fortune - I assume that you have Windows 8 have a look at this you tube video how to do to a system restore. The one thing you might lose are your files as the ransomware uses an RSA key but as you said you only had a few.
