Got a call today offering to upgrade me to Fibre.

Great. I accepted as an existing vodafone customer.

It didn't register much but I'm wondering why 18 months. Why is it not 12 months.

Has anyone managed to get Fibre with Vodafone as existing customer with less than 18 month contract?

Free modem? 3 months free perhaps? They have a 3 months free broadband offer so this may be the reason.

Well installation and modem are free but no mention of three free months I reckon that is only new customers. I am already in contract with them, running out in July I think.

Just wondering if those free things are worth an extra 6 months in a contract.

Seems to be what Eircom is doing if I read their blurb.

Vodafone now offer 3 months free plus a free modem and install for €40 a month, €38 if you're a mobile customer. I think Thats great value and of personally join if I wasn't tied into s contract with Sky.
