Lost the the key of a 206 there before xmas and have given up now on them reappearing, so what would be the cheapest option to getting a key?

Someone said I could get a key and ecu from another 206 and have it installed would this work?

Its a 2002 206 nct'd until Oct then its for the scrap heap so a cheap fix needed.

    Cheers

Most good locksmiths should be able to read the transponder code from the bsi and recode a new key for you....not sure on price tho.

The other option is to order a new key tru Peugoet and get them (or someone with dealer level diagnostics)to code it in...Peugeot will need your vin number to order the cut key.
    Where are you based..?
