ServisAir short courses in Airport Opperations

Hi does anybody have information on the training courses servisair provide im interested in doing the aircraft dispatch course they have offered on the website ( academy Ireland), basically im looking for some information on the courses there offering and has anybody done them? Thanks

The course was supposed to start in October but was put on hold due to poor numbers. And hoping to start this year.
Should call into the Servisair desk in terminal one. Speak to the Lad who is supposed to be in charge of operating it he might be able to give you more info as to when it starts.

But with the swissport change over it might be put on hold even longer.

Oh i see, the courses advertised looked very promising! Ive been trying the past few months to get some sort of a job in ground operations sadly with no success, ground operations in shannon and dublin never seem to advertise jobs for dispatch or even baggage handling. I must say i was very close to paying for the aircraft dispatch course, im glad i didnt from what your saying it struggles to get numbers. Is that terminal one in shannon or dublin?

If its dispatch your looking for i was told the servisair one is very basic was thinking of doing it myself. But DIT bolton street do a 2 year evening course which would probably give you a better chance at becoming a dispatcher over someone who has done the servisair course. Not my words was informed of that from a dispatcher. Servisair/Swissport should be looking for summer staff in February to start for april/may. €800 is a bit crazy tbh.

SA002 Ground Operations – Dispatch 3rd Feb – 7th Feb 2014 295 euro

Doesnt mean they go ahead. All depends on the numbers. Hence how the October launch date was postponed till now. Need to speak to someone in person to get info

Any idea how many people has to apply for it to go ahead?

Since I work for ServisAir I will go ask on monday when im in work.

Well most would be 10 minimum. it costs a bit to run the course. Ahh cool. speak to Gav or Debbie there the ones doing the Training. As i havent seen them around i was under the impression it had started but turned out it hadnt.

It goes through to voice mail every time.. ive also tried several other numbers but i just cant seem to get through to anyone.

Theres a number on the Academy Ireland page for enquiries. Im going to try find out during the week about the courses.
Edit: just seen the further replies about the numbers.
Does it go to voicemail during the week too, or is it today you tried calling?

Just an update. I sent Debbie an email today after getting her email address. Will report back when she replies with more information about the courses, hopefully tomorrow. Ive also a mobile number for her but not sure if its a private number, so reluctant to give it out to people till ive spoken to her.

I received a reply. The dispatch and load control courses have been put on hold till further notice, and they are focusing on the Introduction course.

The course will most likely take place in the Carlton Hotel just down the road from the airport this is where Servisair do most of their training.

Course due to start 3-6 march if they get the numbers.deborah kearns is in charge of the course and she will email me again soon if it's going ahead.she will answer any query if you email her yourself.
