Own car or instructors? Is it 'looked down' on doing it in an instructors?

    Why would it be?
You fail test in instructors car, Instructor takes you home.
You fail test in you car, Sponsor or Instructor takes you home, car is parked outside house until next time.

Financially it makes more sense (I know not everyone is compliant or agrees with the accompanied learners law).

Don't know just wondering. Just a few people have mentioned doing it in your own car you know what this country's like for piseogs and urban legends!

Don't think it makes one jot of difference apart from being more comfortable in one or the other, depending on which you've done more time in up to the point of your test.

If you can pass in an instructors car you can pass in your own car. Everyone is entitled to drive any car on the as long as its not taxed as a taxi and is road legal.

He will judge your driving not your car. That said smaller cars are easier for the turnabout.
