    Hi,

Any advice on jewelers in Hatton Garden for engagement rings.
Any good places to visit there. I plan to bring the OH there to let her pick the engagement ring.
Or would there be an other good jewelers in London outside of Hatton Garden area?

Hatton Garden has a lot of good jewelers.

I had to go ring shopping there on my own, which was very daunting, cause there is literally 100's of shops along the road.

In the end, I went with a crowd caller Arlington & Co.

Great quality and all after purchase services (cleaning, repair etc) is all free of charge.

I got my ring in Hatton Garden. You can't beat the value there! (but then I would say that, being a Londoner!).

There was only ever going to be one place to shop. Loads of shops, all with their ware in the windows, so bring sunglasses :D Don't linger too long outside, as the sales assistants are likely to run out and drag you in to look!

And haggle! The shops are all Jewish-owned and they will fully expect you to do so.

I got my ring at County Jewellers. Very nice people to deal with and I also get my ring cleaned for free whenever I'm home.

The Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham is also good.

I would recommend a place called Alexis jewllers. Its one of the first shops on the left handside. Its not fancy like the others but they are fantastic and they will make up any type of ring for you in their workshop. We bought our ring there and we were hugely impressed.

Thanks for the replies. Should you book an app with a shop before you go or does that reduce your haggling power:)

Anyone heard anything on Hearts of London Jewelers. From what i could find online they seemed to have decent reviews?

No, you don't have to book an appointment. All the shops will be open Sunday-Thursday. Quite a few may be closed on Fridays as that's the Jewish Sabbath.

I've not heard of Hearts of London, but I think you should go with an open mind. Plenty of reputable jewellers in the area. If the ring needs to be re-sized, then it can be done whilst you go for a coffee/drink.

    Have fun! :)
