    Mine are:

    1) Join a camera club
    2) Do a course on photoshop/lightroom
    3) Get out and take more photos!

    What are yours?

i want to try and take a lighting course. want to play more with strobist setups.
i should also try to push myself to get out more. i am pretty sick of photographing the 10 mile radius around the house lol

The only camera club near me is apparently full and has been for ages.

I'm seriously considering doing a full time photography course. I was accepted to one last year but didn't have the money for it.

Some less serious resolutions are to
    ... shoot sports
... follow through on my project of Cork's lesser streets (once I get a new film camera or get my old one fixed.)

Two things I want to do this year are:

Submit my first attempt at a panel for my AIPF

Improve on my ranking in APOY 2014

The first is easier - all I have to do is put 15 photos together - I don't necessarily have to succeed!

The second will be a lot harder - I came 10th in 2012 and 5th in 2013. I would love to see some more entries from Boardies as the standard is so high here we would be bound to get some impressive results, collectively if not individually. Besides, there are some pretty good prizes on offer :)

I resolve to shoot more abstracts.
Abstracts are what brought me to shooting in the first place but over the last year or two I've been getting caught up landscaping - the aspect of photography that appealed least to me before I started. I'm fickle.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Only a few months into to this photography lark so still enthusiastic, main ambition is to retain that enthusiasm and continue to discover and develop my skills - and to shoot more than landscapes - So in general, these are my resolutions:

    - finish the reading photography books i own, read more, use the library more

    - Attend exhibitions and talks

    - Get at least 5 images per month printed for myself

    - Develop my online interactions - either join active groups on flickr, or start using 500px, need to choose one and go with it

    - look for C&C from fellow enthusiasts

    - Take part in a competition like the APOY mentioned above

Simple one - get the finger out and onto the shutter.

Cool so can I ask what club you joined, what courses you did, and did you get out more to take more pix and get the online gallery up?

Oh I thought of one more:

    4. Get one photo printed onto a canvas every couple of months and hang on a wall.

    A. Spend a LOT more time in Death Valley and on the 4wd accessible places in it and near it.
    B. Finally hone my PS masking skills to a point I'm satisfied with and stop relying almost 100% on LR.

No! The ":o" was intended to convey my (annually renewed) shame at not getting off my arse... yet again.
Ah shur, another Johnny Logan, etc.

But I did order a canvas print or two. :p

When I got my first camera 7d three years ago I was out in the snow and smitten with the photo bug - but I haven't clicked in ages so to get back in the habit of heading out with my 5d.

I think I reached a standard and found it hard to move on so I gave up too easily.:. Here's hoping 2014 ill rise from the embers!

Mine is the Photo a day (365 project). I want to do this to improve and find my "style".

People can view my progress at http://www.blipfoto.com/sumsar89 or on flicker at http://www.flickr.com/photos/sumsar09/sets/72157639322014206/

Fair play to you, not sure I could commit to every day. I'd do one a week at a push!

i took probably 5 photos last year for personal pleasure...

I studied a degree in photography...

    I still love it

I need to sort my life out photography wise.

Commiting to a club is alot...

I think pushing for the LIPF would be a start

So I've now found a Camera club locally called OffShoot, and I'm heading to my first meeting next Monday. Absolutely no idea what to expect!
