Just wondering roughly how much it would cost to move the electricity & gas meters outdoors from their current indoor positions?

I suspect the suppliers might be willing to do it for a modest cost, as it makes life easier for them.

Phone ESB Networks and Bord Gáis Networks and ask.

They told us that it would be at our own expense and we have to prep the site(incl trenching) and reinstate afterwards but they have to move the cables.

Bord Gais moved our meters outdoors a couple of months ago, did the whole estate... we live in rented accommodation but it is primarily a council estate and most of the houses are still council property but even the ones that weren't were moved free of charge.
