Have booked this for July.myself, the missus and our 12 year old. Anyone been? Far from beach or town and we're flying to malaga. How far from the airport there? Any info appreciated. Thanks

Have not stayed but between €25-30 taxi one way from Malaga Airport.

The link below is from Google Street view so you can see exactly where you are.

Airport has a train station beside it, trains run both directions every 20 minutes, Benalmadena is 8 stops from the airport heading in the Fuengirola direction, around 20 minutes or less to the Benalmadena stop but the walk to Benalmadena Palace would be a good 20 minutes, you could get a cab from outside Benalmadena station there's a rank there, might be €10 or less to the hotel. Your probably looking at €30 for a taxi from the airport to your hotel.

I stayed there last summer. I couldn't fault the hotel for people bringing kids with them.
We upgraded to the All Inclusive option once we got there as we felt the food and drinks are slightly on the expensive side in the hotel compared to the local bars in the vicinity.
There's a large supermarket at the bottom of a steep hill at the back gate to the complex and the nearest beach is just across the road from that Supermarket. There's also a Burger King next to the supermarket but we didn't go there once as we liked the food in the hotel.
The nearest beach is not the nicest in my opinion. The sand which was more like gravel was a little on the rough side for our liking.
There are nice beaches just an extra few minutes walk away towards the marina.

The hotel runs entertainment there every night which the kids love.
I wouldn't go there without kids.
