Speed limit changes on N3/M3 westbound

    Travelling westbound on the N3/M3 this evening, I noticed that there has been some odd changes to the speed limits and I can see no obvious reasons for them, unless I am missing something. Once the roadworks and new bridge works had been completed a while ago, the old 100kmh limit was reinstalled from just after the off ramp to the Snugborough Road to the beginning of the M3. All well and good.
    However, this evening the limits were all over the place. I can't remember the exact details but it went something like this:
    80kmh for just after the Snugborough Road off-ramp
    60kmh just after the on-ramp from Snugborough Road
    80kmh a few hundred metres on
    80kmh at the beginning of the M3
    120kmh a few hundred metres after the beginning on the M3

    The road was clear all the way and there was no sign of roadworks. Am I missing something glaringly obvious due to it being dark?
