Stargate-themed Infinity table

Here's some pics of my recently set up Stargate table.

Starts off with some overall table shots then goes in to a couple of close ups / details.

I've played a couple of games on it, but the shots are not taken during gameplay - the models are just there for effect.

The idea was to mix up the Stargate universe with the Infinity one for a series of fun campaign scenarios. In this alternate timeline, SG1 etc never happened - instead this table here shows the first discovery of a Stargate at an archeological dig site of some unknown ruins on the planet Dawn. The idea of the mission is that there are a team of scientists with a light security detail on site, and two opposing factions then attack the site with the aim of neutralising the security guards, recovering data from the scientists' Cubes (like brain-chips), and being the first team to secure the Stargate for themselves.

Great fun to play on - haven't noticed any glaring problems with LOF so far. When planning the table I was a little worried about the ruins, as they're not a very typical style of terrain in Infinity, where buildings usually totally block line of fire, and instead they're more like the "swiss cheese" style pieces you'll see in games like WH40K. But while there's lots of gaps in them and open arches etc, the way they're positioned and the placement of the other elements around them really cuts down on long LOF. Sure, there are some parts of the table where use of Cautious Movement and Prone would be a good idea, but ducking in and out of the ruins has made for some pretty tense firefights.

Our resident Infinity fan has done it again!

Superb piece again Bran, I loved watching that show as a kid. Never kept it up over the years, but I should have.
