Sowing grass seed in boggy area

Hello I have about ten acres of bog land with heather growing on it. It has a good cover of mull on it. I was considering sowing grass seed in it. Has anyone any advice? Would I be waisting my time. How should I remove the heather? What grass seed would grow in a boggy area?

Might be something of use to you in this thread, but I suspect you have a deeper type of bog than I.
