MTV Europe (1990s) - Anyone remember this Advert?

i've had this annoying tune in my head for a while now which i think I heard in the 90s either on MTV Europe or maybe after it became MTV UK & Ireland.

it was part of an animated black & white advert which had an environmental theme. the 'song' was an acapella thing sung by a female vocalist which had no identifiable words in any language. it kinda went:

dadocka dadocka dadocka dadocka... in various monotonous rhythmic patterns.

does this description seem familiar to anyone or did i dream the feckin thing up at some point? :D

it's definitely sheila chandra though to my uncultured ear many of her songs sound so similar i can't remember the exact one. :o

was i right about this being on MTV? any idea what that ad was even for? i remember it being for greenpeace or something environmental but this music doesn't seem right for that. maybe it was just a random arty animation they used to show? :P

Very sad what happened to her - a few years ago she developed Burning Mouth Syndrome which has rendered her unable to sing or even speak, laugh or cry without suffering intense pain, rendering her "effectively mute".

that's very sad. i've been listening to some of her songs on youtube since you posted and she is extraordinarily talented. maybe she will find a cure at some point. scott adams (the dilbert cartoonist) was mostly mute for a few years with a very rare neurological condition until he found a surgeon who had invented a procedure to fix it. you never know!
