BE Licence

    Hi,
I am will be applying for an A2 learner permit next week hopefully. My question is can I apply for the BE (trailer licence too). I did my B theory test in the summer of 2012 and did my B test in the summer of 2013. I no longer have to Cert as it was handed into the motor tax office when applying for my B permit.

Also can I tick and apply for M and A1 as well or will it cost extra money if I decide to take my test in one of these categories for some reason. I currently have no learner permit just a full B

Does the 6 month rule apply to date of issue or is it linked to the IBT?

Also how will my BAC be effected by holding a learner permit down the road when I have held my B for 2 years or is it related to the vehicle you are driving at a checkpoint?

Also is it true that if you pass the Lorry test you get a full BE as well?

    Thanks and Happy New Year.

Lot of questions there so here goes, the truck one has been answered above.
You can apply for BE as you only needed to have done Cat B theory once.
Are you planning on being out drinking while riding a bike or towing a trailer?

You have to hold Cat A permit for 6 months and complete IBT before sitting test, no wait needed for BE and no mandatory lessons.
Think that's it, hope that helps

Thanks :D and to your question no but it would be handy to know if the 0.02 limit applies, Ill take it it does apply but no I wont be drink driving :pac: I've no interest in crashing on bike. Taxi would be cheaper than crashing or failing a breath test!

If your old enough for an A2 then there's no point in getting an A1 or M, taking the test on an A1 bike while mean that you have to take another for A2 and then A.

If towing a trailer, which exceeds the limits for B, you need to be accompanied by someone who has had a BE for more than 2 years.

IBT needs to be completed before going on the road
