I am look for some ideas of what panelling to put to the front of a window seat we are putting in a bay window.

We are thinking of the colour cream and some kind of panels which look somewhat traditional or country.

Also I have googled some pictures and most have lovely cushions on top of them. Can you have them made to order regarding to size of seat and if so where might I get it done. Also how are they attached to the window seat.

Just really looking for some advice and pointers on getting it right.

Have others that put them in their house find them useful or even nice decorative??

I have put in a window seat in a conservatory. We got a carpenter to build it. We asked for big roller drawers under the seat for storage. Very useful. It's used a lot.

    We used painted off-white wood.

Seat cushions are made to order by a lot of curtain places, upholsterers or seamstresses. We had ours made by a local upholsterer in Cork city.
They just sit on top. Not attached.

The timber was painted before it was assembled... Sprayed I think. Makes for a neater finish than painting afterwards.
