Wildfowl research project

Howya Lads,

Im doing a research project on wildowl diet as part of my degree in biology.
The project is based on the diet type of different duck species and pollutants such as plastic particles which are accidentally eaten by duck.
I plan to compare the results of my findings with different species and habitats (fresh and saltwater) around the country.

I usually do a lot of duck shooting every season mainly on foreshore but as I've had to retire by springer due to old age Im now very limited to spots I can shoot and I've only managed to get a few mallard and wigeon this season.

I wonder if any of ye would be willing to keep the guts from a few ducks that you shoot over the next month.
Any species from any location will be grand, I just need you to pull out the lot, bag it and write down the species and place it was shot. If you could clip off a wing that would be great too as I can test for toxins in the muscle and bone.
Im in Galway but will travel within reason to collect the samples.

Even a few would really help me out.
