    Hi folks,

When I turn on the car engine the speakers make a noise for about 10 seconds before it stops making the noise and then all is fine... Car is a Toyota Corolla 2001, petrol.

It doesn't impact on my ability to drive and the car runs fine other than this but I said I'd get it checked out in case its a symptom of a bigger issue and so plan to drop it in to a garage next week.

Before I do has any one suggestions of anything I can do / check just in case its something obvious.

    No worries if not.

    Happy New Year!

A mate of mine had a similar problem, turned out to be a corroded earth wire.

Sounds like electronic interference (lots of things kick in on startup) - I'd check all grounds as Gazzmonkey suggested.

It's a new initiative from the SIMI to get people to buy cars. Your car now needs to be scrapped. Scrap the car, take out a loan you can't really afford and be the first in your house to own a shiny new 141 reg car.
