Selling the Power Meter I got off Beasty.
SRAM S975 Quarq Saturn Power Meter,

    Full specs are here
Bought April 2011 and used on the Road Bike for around a year (around 5,500km) and it then went back for re-calibration (under warranty). On its return I transferred it to the TT bike where it did a further 300-400km. I upgraded the TT bike earlier this year and it's hardly been used since.

Since buying I've done less than 500km

A few cosmetic marks but otherwise in excellent condition
Comes with cadence magnet and new GXP BB.

    €600 posted

This was won in a charity auction for a man who is dead just over a week. The poster paid €512 and if the rules of the auction where adhered to properly, he didn't actually win it at all.

You are fully entitled to sell it on but to start profiteering like you are is below contempt. You paid €512, you should sell it for €512.

If anyone cares to look back at the auction they will see that the winning bid was placed after the stated finish time. I thought it was wrong at the time but because the seller not only donated the proceeds of the sale to charity but matched the amount also, I felt that the cause and spirit of the auction outweighed the wrongs.

To see the buyer selling it for a profit only a few weeks after purchasing it is disgusting.

If this is true, its an incredibly heartless post.

Sorry for the timing of the post and I do not mean any disrespect.

I'm not in anyway hiding that I got it from Beasty's auction, I openly said in my first post I got it from Beasty so anyone can look back at my previous posts.

I am not trying to profit from it, I paid €512 for it which was €527.84 after mycharity.ie fees add the new GXP BB I had fitted was €60 (which i said is included as i bought it without one) and add postage of prob €15. That puts it costing slightly over €600 hence my asking price of €600

I could of easily stuck it on donedeal/ebay and sold it for a profit if I wanted too.

Guys I think patjoe is entitled to an apology here,he clearly gives links to the auction that includes the price he paid,he is including a bb and postage which brings the price to €600,hence no profits made on the power meter previously won at auction for a great cause
    Thanks
