I'm thinking of starting a film journal for the new year, just to keep track of what I've been watching. Has anyone done this before? If so, what kind of system did you use?

Pity Letterboxd don't seem to have an App to log a movie on the go, would be handy.

They are working on an app. In the meantime, their mobile site is very good.

Yeah excellent site, especially in how you can follow professional critics and get recommendations.

There are eh; any recommended people to follow? I joined a couple of days ago (same username as here) and other than building up an ego-stroking list of movies seen, I haven't quite grasped the point of letterboxd yet.

Calum Marsh, Scott Tobias, Ignatiy Vishnevetsky, Nigel Floyd, Matt Singer, Tasha Robinson just to name some.

The point? I tend to love listmaking, rating, discovering and talking about films anyway so the site is perfect for my needs. The site also gives you a good view of the movies that are building up steam prior to release, be it with festivals or press screenings. Keeps you on your toes with what to watch out for.
