    Hi,
Was thinking of changing my dish for a multi sat setup, like the fact the T55 doesn't require a motor and as the dish will be on the chimney don't want to go for the T90 as it would possibly be too big. Was looking at 13e, 19e & 28.2e. Will this dish be capable of receivng signals from these 3 satellites? Based in Limerick. Really a beginner with Sat tech so any info/opinions appreciated.
    Thanks.

IMO a Wavefrontier T55 is overkill.

I think you can get 28, 19 and 13 using a Triax 88cm dish (I say think becuse in Dublin it works but may be slightly different for Limerick).

Then just get a Triax bracket, 3 LNBs and a 4x1 Diseqc switch and your flying.

Probably best setting the dieh/aiming the dish at 19.

Check out satplanet for the gear.

    Hope this helps.

A Wave 55 is more suitable in mainland Europe where satellites are stronger. You'd get very little here and certainly won't get Hotbird.

The reply that preceded mine contains good advice, you'd really be best going for that set-up although I'd advise prime focus on Hotbird (as it needs 80cm for reliable HD reception).

Regards the T90, I've seen one on the side of an apartment block high up on a flat wall in central Dublin. I was amazed to see it so exposed. You'll pick up a huge variety of satellites with it but if your interest is limited to the three satellites you mention then it's unnecessary.

    Guy's ,
Thanks for the reply's and opinions, newbie here so all info appreciated. Ya the triax looks like a better option. Really prob only need 1 multi-sat setup,so prob go with a quad lnb for the 28e as this will cover other receivers around the house. So would I be right with the following:

    Triax 80cm dish
    Triax Multi lnb holder
    2 * single LNB's ( 13 & 19e )
    1 * Quad LNB ( 28.2e )
    1 * 4x1 diseqc switch

    thanks again for the help

T55 works fine in co. Meath for all of the satellites mentioned and more, also it is a very strong and neat little multi satellite dish

If it is pulling in all the transponders on Hotbird then it is outperforming itself (as each LNB on the dish would be mimicking the equivalent of no more than a prime focus 55cm dish) but I'm delighted it's doing the job for you.

How many rooms do you want to feed with 28?

I would go for the 88 dish myself (it is only a few quid extra)

And you can actually fourth sat if you wish eg 26. Movies all the time on a station called MBC2 and MBC action is good too

    Hi,
Would need 3 rooms with the 28. With dual tuner in 1 might be better going for an octo lnb instead of the quad if suitable, future proof a bit if I wanna put a receiver in another room upstairs. Not going ahead with anything for a few weeks just looking at options at the moment.

    Cheers for the advice everybody.

Radiowaves might be able to give better advice.

And a lot of this depends on where you are putting the dish and how many cbales you want coming into the house and how easy to move teh cables around the house. And how many TVs will be wtached at the same time.

So you need four cables coming off the 28. One of these going to the Disqec switch along with the lines from 13 and 19. So you will have four cables in total coming in.

So you could look at multiswitchs and 8x1 diseqcs. But what has been listed above will work.
