False widow spider?

    Hi, was wondering if anyone knew what kind of spider is in the attached photo. I was concerned that it may be a false widow? Thanks

    It certainly looks like one. The markings on the anterior and the shape of the legs are a dead give-away

    Would there be alot of them in Ireland?

    There aren't as many of them as there would be other species because they're relatively new to these parts. They're usually found outside in warm sheds but like seemingly all spiders they're starting to get a bit braver and are coming indoors, which is why there has been much talk of them in recent years. People just didn't notice them before
