Time for the second Semi Final as we see Mr McMahon himself Omackeral face off against not just another heel in the form of hashtagheel...
    Simplified version of the rules:

I will post a topic and you have to post your response including why you made that choice within a given time limit (before the next match is scheduled to begin), take care while making your responses however as the other contestant can counter your arguement i.e pointing out possible flaws in what youve said.

*you can only counter an arguement two times so make sure your point is worth making. If someone's defense of their arguement isnt good it will count against them.

*You can use the same answer as your opponent if you wish i.e you agree with their choice however its hard to win a debate when your making the same points someone has already made

see the OP of the main thread for further details or if any examples are needed check out previous years competitions.

Q: The Movie The Wrestler (intentionally not picking a real wrestler here) highlighted how many wrestlers can't leave the life/ring and always want one more chance to recreate their glory days. If Vince McMahon/HHH wanted you to bring someone of this ilk back and / or give someone one last run on top, who would you choose and how would you book it?

after your first post: why would your choice be better than your oponents?

doubt its needed but for clarification The Rock etc don't quite fit the bill here as unlike Randy The Ram they would be instant stars upon their return and not need to built back up etc

so have at it and g'luck lads![/QUOTE]

Nice question. Very different and kind of a personally charged one to boot. The man I have chosen is a household name yet is not very often named as one of the greatest of all time. He's a true innovator of the game and has always had that X Factor that you simply cannot teach. His name is Aurelian Smith.... but you may know him as....

    Jake 'The Snake' Roberts

Jake got into the grapple game back in the mid 1970's before landing in McMahonland 1986. A month later, he made his Pay Per View debut at Wrestlemania 2, alongside his most well known companion, Damien. Roberts would go on to feud with top talents such as Ricky 'the Dragon' Steamboat, Randy 'Macho Man' Savage and 'Ravishing' Rick Rude. It was during these feuds that fans started to see the cerebral style Jake would use on interviews that really would transfer from the interviews right into your mind, nevermind your home. As evil as the Snakeman was, he always excited crowds with the move known as the DDT, Damien's Dinner Time. Crowds would chant for it and pop hard when he delivered it that the federation had little choice but to turn him into a fan favourite.

He garnered plenty of sympathy when Earthquake squashed and killed his companion. Jake brought in another bigger python and resumed his feud. However, the money was in the sinister heel act, and in one of the most shocking things to ever grace a WWF screen, the snake bit into the flesh of Rabdy Savage. Viewers were horrified but they cared. Roberts was amazing.

After a falling out with the company, Jake Roberts left for WCW but would return in 1996 as a born again Christian, which mirrored his real life. This gave rise to Stone Cold Steve Austin's famous promo in which he mocked the recently defeated Roberts saying ''you talk about your psalms, you talk about your John 3:16... Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!''. The rest was history for Austin and the WWF but for Jake it went the other way. He relapsed heavy and turned to his former demons of drink and drugs. Jake was fired in 1997.

He showed up in ECW in 98 but looked in poor health. The documentary Beyond the Mat showed just how far the legend had fallen. Jake gave accounts of how the life on the road had destroyed him and admitted to all sorts of carry on, including smoking crack. He would take indy bookings and pass out backstage. He was the subject of ridicule and disgrace on another 1999 card where he made lewd gestures in the ring using the snake as a metaphor for his private parts. It looked all over for him until...

Diamond Dallas Page took our man Jake under his wing, along with Scott Hall, and helped him to get super fit and healthy using the DDP Yoga programme. Page was revitalised Jake to the point were the Snake has declared he would love just one more shot at the big time and stated that the 2014 Royal Rumble is the place he'd love to do it. I agree. I would have Jake appear as a late 20's entrant to his sinister music and even have the snake with him. Unleash it into the ring and have everyone scurry away. Most superstars would escape through the middle or bottom ropes but one would fly over the top in a panic and eliminate himself. That man would be Dean Ambrose. Jake would give maybe a 9 or 10 minute performance before being eliminated. The next night on Raw, Jake would be in the ring on Miz TV basically saying thank you and giving a proper goodbye to the fans. Next of all we would here the familiar 'Sierra, Hotel, India' as the Shield make their way out. Ambrose would be deriding Jake for the fact that he has never ever won a championship in his WWE career and would say that he's past it. That the comparisons between himself and Roberts offend him. He would say that he is the true innovator and that the DDT is nothing compared to this. Dean would smash Roberts with the Headlock Driver.

Ambrose would stand over the fallen Roberts as Seth Rollins held him up. Dean would goad him into accepting a match at the Elimination Chamber PPV saying that he'll give him one final chance to win a top title, the United States Championship. Jake would agree, with Roman Reigns looking subtly disgusted. The company could use this match as major selling point of the PPV with the fact that there is now only one WWE Heavyweight Champion. It could also be a vehicle for Jake Roberts to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame. Another plus from all this could be that it would nicely set up the Shield's implosion leading to a match at Wrestlemania between the Hounds of Justice. I would have Ambrose go over Jake through nefarious means but then beat him down afterwards leading to Reigns making the save and turning face. Roman would then raise Jake's arm and allow him a great ovation from the crowd.

This programme would give Jake a chance to say goodbye while advancing current storylines. It would also have him show that, while he had a torrid time for years, he came back and took his place in the HOF, where he belongs.
