Was out yesterday and there was a load of feathers off cock pheasants in a ditch with 3 sets of wings and some tail feathers
Was just wondering do any of you skin the bird before heading home. Havint seen this before.

Have started shooting big bags of pigeon (for me a big bag is 10+) and plucking them at home is a right pain. I pluck the breast in the field and cut the wings off but I do it in an area well hidden and away from passers by.

It means less ear ache when I get home ..... :o

if your doing them at home just crown them pull off wings dip the bird in a bucket of water no feathers flying all over the place nice and tidy place your 2 thumbs facing opposite away from eachother pull your thumbs away from eachother and the breast bone will turn inside out just throw the rest in a bin liner id sometimes carry sandwich bags with me and do this without the bucket of water
